Eco Quiz #1

Thursday, September 23rd. Today we had our first quiz to review food webs and the flow of energy and matter through the web and the special role of decomposers. I stressed how quizzes have several functions: to review material, to assess everyone's understanding of the material so far, and from that see what we need to focus on a little more, and to give them practice taking a test. We went over the quiz afterwards and answered questions. We spent a little time reviewing the plants that we have been identifying in our local ecosystem and compared several methods for surveying and counting the numbers of species on campus.
